Hisar–Coimbatore AC Superfast Express
The 22475 / 22476 Hisar–Coimbatore AC Superfast Express (previously Bikaner–Coimbatore AC Superfast Express) is a fully air conditioned, Superfast Express train operated by the Bikaner Division of North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. The train connects Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Haryana. Train numbered 22475 starts from at 12:50 hrs on Wednesdays and reaches Coimbatore Junction at 17:10 hrs on Fridays. For the return journey, train numbered 22476 leaves Coimbatore Junction at 12:45 hrs on Saturdays and reaches Hisar Junction at 16:00 hrs on Mondays. This train got its LHB coach from 9 August 2018. AC Express (Indian Railways)
AC Express trains are fully air-conditioned Superfast Express trains linking major cities in India. They have high priority and are among the fastest trains in India. Though some trains travel at 130 km/h at some sections, most of them are restricted to a speed of 110 km/h. The food is not free in these trains but the bedroll is free for passengers who are traveling by AC Express. The charges of these trains are cheaper than Rajdhani Express, Duronto Express and Humsafar Express also (except Chennai–Thiruvananthapuram AC Superfast Express – with Rajdhani type fare). The EMD GT46PAC or WDP4 is a passenger-hauling diesel-electric locomotive with AC electric transmission designed by General Motors Electro-Motive Division and built by both GM-EMD and under license by Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) of Varanasi, India for Indian Railways as the classes WDP4, WDP4B and WDP4D.
