Hirtshals Station
Hirtshals railway station ( da, Hirtshals Station or ''Hirtshals Banegård'') is the main railway station serving the town of Hirtshals in Vendsyssel, Denmark. The station is the northern terminus of the Hirtshalsbanen railway line from Hjørring to Hirtshals. The station opened in 1925 and was moved to its current location in 1928. The train services are currently operated by Nordjyske Jernbaner which run frequent local train services between Hirtshals and Hjørring with onward connections from Hjørring to the rest of Denmark. History The station opened in 1925 to serve as terminus of the new railway line from Hjørring to Hirtshals which was built during the construction of the Port of Hirtshals in the period from 1919 to 1931. The North Jutland Region ( da, Region Nordjylland), or in some official sources, the North Denmark Region, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform, which abolished the traditional counties () and set up five larger regions. Hjørring railway station ( da, Hjørring Banegård) is the main railway station serving the town of Hjørring in Vendsyssel, Denmark. Hjørring station is located on the Vendsyssel Line from Aalborg to Frederikshavn and is the terminus of the Hirtshalsbanen railway line from Hjørring to Hirtshals. The station opened in 1871. It offers direct regional rail services to Aalborg and Frederikshavn, as well as local train services to Hirtshals, both operated by Nordjyske Jernbaner.
