Hino TH-series
In May 1950 the heavy-duty Hino TH10 truck was introduced, equipped with the all-new 7-liter DS10 diesel engine. An eight-tonner, this was considerably larger than existing Japanese trucks which had rarely been built for more than payload. The model became a common sight in Japan and in Southeast Asia, its main export market, before being retired in 1968 in favor of the more modern cab over trucks which succeeded it. The Hino TE and derivatives was the first truck to be manufactured in Myanmar, where it was built until the turn of the millennium. History The TH10 had a wheelbase and a DS10 diesel inline-six. Hino Motors
Hino Motors, Ltd., commonly known as Hino, is a Japanese manufacturer of commercial vehicles and diesel engines (including those for trucks, buses and other vehicles) headquartered in Hino, Tokyo. The company was established in 1942 as a corporate spin-off from previous manufacturers. Hino Motors is a large constituent of the Nikkei 225 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Trafficators are semaphore signals which, when operated, protrude from the bodywork of a motor vehicle to indicate its intention to turn in the direction indicated by the pointing signal. Trafficators are often located at the door pillar. History They first appeared in the 1900s, when they were actuated either mechanically or pneumatically. In 1908, Alfredo Barrachini in Rome added electric lights inside the arms that turned on as they extended, but operation was still by a cable system. Electric operation came in 1918 when the Naillik Motor Signal Company of Boston added electric motor drive. Kuozui Motors
Kuozui Motors () is a Taiwanese manufacturing company that builds Toyotas under license for the domestic market. It began as a co-ownership of Hino Motors and Hotai Motor. The corporation was spun off and became independent in the 1980s. Toyota still invests heavily in the corporation's production sector, expanding Taiwanese plants. It was founded as a joint venture, Huatung Motors, Ltd. by General Motors and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of National Defense. GM withdrew in 1983.
