Himeanole (film)
is a 2016 Japanese romantic thriller black comedy film directed by Keisuke Yoshida (director), Keisuke Yoshida. It is based on the manga Himeanole, series of the same name written by Minoru Furuya, serialized in the ''Weekly Young Magazine'' between 2008–2010, and republished into six volumes. The film received an Eirin, R-15 rating in Japan. It is the second of Furuya's works to be adapted to the big screen, following 2011's ''Himizu (film), Himizu''. The film marks the debut of ''V6 (band), V6'' boyband singer Go Morita in his first starring role in a feature film as the antagonist Soichi Morita, and stars Gaku Hamada as the naive protagonist Okada among a cast of odd characters entrenched amid love triangles and shoddy friendships. Himizu (film)
is 2011 Japanese drama film based on the manga series of the same name by Minoru Furuya and directed by Sion Sono. The word ''himizu'' is the Japanese name for a species of mole. The film competed in competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in September. At the festival, Shōta Sometani and Fumi Nikaidō received the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Young Actor and Actress for their work in the film.
