Hilton Central School District
The Hilton Central School District (HCSD) is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 4,500 students in the village of Hilton and the towns of Clarkson, Greece, Hamlin and Parma in Monroe County, with over 800 full and part-time employees and an operating budget of $81 million. The average class size is 20-25(K-6), 20-26(6-12) students and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1. Dr. Casey Kosiorek is the Superintendent of Schools. The Board of Education (BOE) consists of 7 members who serve rotating 3-year terms. Elections are held each May for board members and to vote on the School District Budget. Hilton, New York
Hilton is a village in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 5,886 at the 2010 census. The community was named for the Rev. Charles A. Hilton. The Village of Hilton is within the Town of Parma. History In 1805, Jonathon Underwood came from Vermont and was the first to settle in the area now known as Hilton. Originally known as Unionville, the village was incorporated in 1885 as North Parma. Clarkson, New York
Clarkson is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 6,736 at the 2010 census. The town is named after General Matthew Clarkson. Hamlin is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 9,045 at the 2010 census. The Town of Hamlin is in the northwestern part of the county and is the second largest town in area in the county. History The Town of Hamlin was created as the "Town of Union," but was renamed in 1861 as the Town of Hamlin in honor of Abraham Lincoln's first vice president Hannibal Hamlin. Hilton High School is part of the 4,450-student Hilton Central School District, a public school system based in Hilton, a suburb of Rochester, New York. Hilton High School offers an International Baccalaureate Diploma, and the school has made ''Newsweek'' 's Top 1,200 schools in the United States each year since ranking at number 989 in 2005.
