Hilton High School
Hilton High School is part of the 4,450-student Hilton Central School District, a public school system based in Hilton, a suburb of Rochester, New York. Hilton High School offers an International Baccalaureate Diploma, and the school has made ''Newsweek'' 's Top 1,200 schools in the United States each year since ranking at number 989 in 2005. Hilton has a high graduation rate of 92% (2017–18) and is top 200 in New York state and eighth of approximately 20 schools in Monroe County. Achievements The first Hilton Schools Regents Diploma student, Jennie Mitchell, graduated in 1899. More than 20 one-room schoolhouses and the "Henry Street School" were centralized in 1949. Hilton, New York
Hilton is a village in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 5,886 at the 2010 census. The community was named for the Rev. Charles A. Hilton. The Village of Hilton is within the Town of Parma. History In 1805, Jonathon Underwood came from Vermont and was the first to settle in the area now known as Hilton. Originally known as Unionville, the village was incorporated in 1885 as North Parma. In 1896, the name was changed to Hilton to honor Reverend Charles Augustus Hilton, a former pastor of the village's Freewill Baptist Church. Over 60% of the central business district was destroyed by fire in March 1965 and later rebuilt. Callahan (born March 21, 1985) is an Americans, American former professional ice hockey winger (ice hockey), right winger who played 13 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New York Rangers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. At 245 East Main Street in downtown Rochester, the ''Democrat and Chronicle'' operates under the ownership of Gannett. The paper's production facility is in the town of Greece, New York. Roy Knyrim (born 1966/1967) is an American film director and special effects makeup artist. He directed '' Demons at the Door'' (2004), ''Cemetery Gates'' (2006), ''Night Skies'' (2007), and ''Death Racers'' (2008). Cornell Big Red Wrestling
The Cornell Big Red wrestling team represents Cornell University of Ithaca, New York in collegiate wrestling. It is one of the most successful and storied collegiate wrestling programs in the nation with over 20 individual NCAA champions and 42 Ivy League and 26 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association championships since the program's 1907 founding. The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships have been held annually since 1928, except for a hiatus in 1943–45 during World War II and in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
