Hillview, Sutton Forest
Hillview is a heritage-listed former residence and now boutique hotel at Old Illawarra Highway, Sutton Forest, Wingecarribee Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was the official country residence of the Governor of New South Wales from 1882 to 1957. The house had formerly been known as Prospect. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History Land grants and Richardson ownership In 1819 Governor Macquarie commissioned Dr. Charles Throsby to build the first road (Old South Road - now the Illawarra Highway) through the Southern Highlands district and land grants were made to encourage settlement. Hillview is a residential neighbourhood in the Mill Woods area of south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is located in the Woodvale area of Mill Woods. The neighbourhood was largely developed during the 1970s and early 1980s. It was during this time that 87% of the neighbourhood residences were constructed. Hillview is a township in Ulu Klang, Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. The township lies in a landslide-prone area. It is located next the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2. This township was once home to many Western expatriates circa 1970s. It is located roughly halfway between Ampang and Melawati. Hillview is a home rule-class city in Bullitt County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 8,172 at the 2010 census. The primary road through the area is Kentucky Route 61 (the Preston Highway). The Hudson Apartments (formerly The Historic Hillview Hollywood) is a historical building located on Hollywood Boulevard, and is considered Hollywood's first "artist's" high-rise. It was founded in 1917 by movie moguls Jesse L. Lasky, co-founder of Paramount Pictures, and his brother-in-law Samuel Goldwyn, co-founder of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, better known as MGM.
