Alfred Hillier
Alfred Peter Hillier (1858, Stroud, Gloucestershire – 24 October 1911) was a Conservative MP for Hitchin. ''British Parliamentary Election Results 1885-1918'', F.W.S. Hillier's continued as a Bacon curers in Nailsworth until the mid-1880s Hillier spent a large portion of his life in South Africa, where he moved at the age of 16. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Cape of Good Hope, and served as a trooper during the Ninth Xhosa War of 1877–1879. He qualified as a doctor at the University of Edinburgh. He returned to South Africa, and set up a medical practice there. He was imprisoned and fined for alleged involvement in the Jameson Raid. Peter Michael Hillier (born 14 November 1977) is a dancer born in Cambridge, England. He trained at the McKenzie School of Speech and Drama and the Bodywork Dance Studios, both in Cambridge. Television career Hillier is best known for his role as a male presenter on the BAFTA award-winning BBC children's music programme ''Boogie Beebies'', alongside Nataylia Roni. As well as presenting, he dances, teaches dance, sings, does stand-up comedy, and is a choreographer and director. He has choreographed fashion and exhibition shows. Paul Hillier
Paul Douglas Hillier OBE (born 9 February 1949) is an English conductor, music director and baritone. He specializes in both early and contemporary classical music, especially that by composers Steve Reich and Arvo Pärt. He was a co-founder of the Hilliard Ensemble and directed the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir for numerous years. He has been Chief Conductor of Ars Nova (Copenhagen) since 2003, and Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the National Chamber Choir of Ireland since 2008. Ensembles Hillier was born in Dorchester, England in 1949, where he attended Hardye's Grammar School. In 1967 he became a music student at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, studying voice. Joseph Hillier (born 24 April 1974 in Cornwall) is a British sculptor. His best known works include the ''Messenger'', a public sculpture in Plymouth, Devon. Early life and education Hillier was born in Cornwall in 1974. He studied at Falmouth College of Art, then held a research post at Newcastle University. Ernest John Guy Hillier (10 April 1907 – 1979) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his career, he made over 70 appearances in the Football League during spells with Cardiff City, Middlesbrough and Newport County. Career Born in Bridgend, Hillier was working as a butcher while playing for local amateur side Bridgend Town when he was offered a trial with Football League side Swansea Town.
