Hilliard is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 37,114 at the 2020 census. It is a suburb of Columbus and part of Norwich Township. Hilliard is home to the Early Television Museum (the only one of its kind in United States), the second largest First Responders Park in the United States, and Heritage Rail Trail. Hilliard also has the only flag pole from the World Trade Center that is not in a museum. The flag pole is located in front of the fire department on Northwest Parkway. Hilliard Ensemble
The Hilliard Ensemble was a British male vocal quartet originally devoted to the performance of early music. The group was named after the Elizabethan miniaturist painter Nicholas Hilliard. Founded in 1974, the group disbanded in 2014. Although most of its work focused on music of the Medieval and Renaissance periods, the Hilliard Ensemble also performed contemporary music, working frequently with the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt and included in its concerts works by John Cage, Gavin Bryars, Giya Kancheli, and Heinz Holliger. History Membership The group was founded by Paul Hillier, Errol Girdlestone, Paul Elliott, and David James, although the membership was flexible until Hillier left in 1990. Hilliard Mills is a historic mill site located at 642 Hilliard Street in Manchester, Connecticut, west of Adams Street. The property consists of six buildings comprising roughly 104,000 square feet of space, spread over five acres at the confluence of the Bigelow Brook and Hockanum River. Hilliard Mills is listed on the State of Connecticut Register of Historic Places. History In 1672, John Allyn was granted land for a sawmill by the General Court of the Colony of Connecticut, making the location one of the oldest (if not the oldest) continuously occupied industrial sites in the country. Description Hilliard Peak is located west of the Continental Divide in the Elk Mountains (Colorado), Elk Mountains which are a subrange of the Rocky Mountains. It ranks as the 306th-highest peak in Colorado. The mountain is situated south-southwest of the community of Aspen, Colorado, Aspen and west-northwest of Castle Peak (Colorado), Castle Peak. The peak is set in the Maroon Bells–Snowmass Wilderness on land managed by White River National Forest. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's slopes drains into tributaries of the Roaring Fork River which is a tributary of the Colorado River.
