Hilary Reilly
Hilary Reilly is an Irish diplomat who is currently serving as the Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia. Diplomatic career Reilly's recommendation to succeed Eamon Hickey as Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia was approved by the Government of Ireland on the 26 June 2019. She subsequently presented her diplomatic accreditation to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Head of state and King of Malaysia) on 2 October 2019. Prior to her appointment as an ambassador, Reilly served as deputy head of mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Ottawa Ottawa (, ; Canadian French: ) is the capital city of Canada. Leo Eric Varadkar ( ; born 18 January 1979) is an Irish politician who has served as Taoiseach since December 2022, and previously from 2017 to 2020. He served as Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment from June 2020 to December 2022. Daniel Mulhall (born 8 April 1955) is a retired Irish diplomat and a former Ambassador of Ireland to the United States. He has also been Ireland's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Germany and Malaysia. Education Born in Waterford, Ireland, Mulhall studied at University College Cork. He received a BA degree degree in 1975, a Higher Diploma in Education in 1978, and an MA in history in 1979. Career Mulhall joined Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs in 1978 as Third Secretary in the Economics Division.
