Highway M14 (Ukraine)
Highway M14 is a Ukrainian international highway ( M-highway) connecting Odessa to the Russian border east of Mariupol, where it continues into Russia as the A280. General overview The M14 is a major transnational corridor and along with the M16 combines into the southern branch of European route E58 in Ukraine (another one in Zakarpattia). The highway is also part of the Eurasian transportation corridor and the Black-Sea Economic Association transportation corridor (ChES). It runs along the coastal line of Black and Azov seas, connecting two major ports of Ukraine in Odessa and Mariupol. The M14 connects two major European routes: E95 and E105. The Zakarpattia Oblast ( uk, Закарпатська область, Zakarpatska oblast) is an administrative oblast located in western Ukraine, mostly coterminous with the historical region of Carpathian Ruthenia. International E-road Network
The international E-road network is a numbering system for roads in Europe developed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The network is numbered from E1 up and its roads cross national borders. It also reaches Central Asian countries like Kyrgyzstan, since they are members of the UNECE. Main international traffic arteries in Europe are defined by ECE/TRANS/SC.1/2016/3/Rev.1 which consider three types of roads: motorways, limited access roads, and ordinary roads. In most countries, the roads carry the European route designation alongside national designations. Belgium, Norway and Sweden have roads which only have the European route designations (examples: E18 and E6). The United Kingdom, Iceland and Albania only use national road designations and do not show the European designations at all. E105 is part of the International E-road network, which is a series of main roads in Europe. It is a north–south reference road, meaning it crosses Europe from north to south and other E-road numbers have been calculated based on these reference roads. The European route E95 is a road in Europe and a part of the United Nations International E-road network. Approximately long, it connects Saint Petersburg with Merzifon in north central Turkey. Azov Sea
