Highway 427 BRT
A bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor is proposed on Highway 427 as part of Metrolinx's regional transportation plan for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, ''The Big Move''. This BRT line would be established in two separate segments. The southern segment would begin at the Toronto Transit Commission's Kipling Station on Line 2 and proceed north along Highway 427 to Renforth station, the eastern terminus of the Mississauga Transitway. This southern segment would help augment the existing 900 Airport Rocket bus service. The Big Move
The Big Move is the regional transportation plan (RTP) published by Metrolinx for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) in Ontario, Canada. It makes specific recommendations for transit projects, resulting from seven "green papers" and two "white papers" released for public discussion. A draft RTP was released alongside draft investment strategy in September 2008. After a series of stakeholder consultations and public meetings, the final RTP was approved and published by Metrolinx on 28 November 2008. 501 Züm Queen is a bus rapid transit route in Brampton, Ontario that is part of the Züm network. The route first began service on September 20, 2010, and currently has three branches running between either the Downtown Brampton Terminal or Bramalea Terminal in the west to eastern termini at either the or Toronto Transit Commission subway stations in Vaughan or Toronto, respectively. Route 501 and 501A branches operates eastward along Queen Street from the Downtown Brampton Terminal, with the 501C branch originating at the Bramalea Terminal. The base route continues along Highway 7 in Vaughan and terminates at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station. The Highway 7 Rapidway in York Region, Ontario, Canada, is a bus rapid transit right-of-way that runs from Bruce Street in Vaughan to Birchmount Road in Markham. There are plans to extend it west to Highway 50 and east to Cornell Terminal. It is served by Viva Purple, Viva Pink, Viva Orange and Viva Green bus routes. Route description The Highway 7 Rapidway consists of bus lanes in the median of Highway 7 between Pine Valley Drive in Vaughan and Town Centre Boulevard in Markham. The Mississauga Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of purpose-constructed bus-only roadways, as well as reserved lanes on existing city streets and portions of Highway 403, that together form a continuous route spanning most of the city from Winston Churchill Boulevard in the west to the junction of Highways 401 and 427 in the east on the border with Toronto. Line 2 Bloor–Danforth is a subway line in the Toronto subway system, operated by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). It has 31 stations and is in length. It opened on February 26, 1966, and extensions at both ends were completed in 1968 and again in 1980.
