''Heterdaad'' was a Belgian television series involving the activities of BOB, the former Belgian security and search brigade which was part of the gendarmerie. It was aired on Eén Eén (stylized as één; en, "one") is a public Dutch-language TV station in Belgium, owned by the VRT, which also owns Ketnet, Canvas and several radio stations. Kris Cuppens
Kris Cuppens (born 22 May 1962) is a Belgian actor and writer. Cuppens was born in Neeroeteren and discovered theatre in secondary school. He studied architecture at university, but rediscovered his love for the theatre during an audition for Jan Fabre in Brussels. After studying acting at the royal conservatory, he left Belgium for New York, to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In 1995 he appeared on television in the series ''Heterdaad'' ("Caught Red Handed") in the role of police inspector Willy Martens. He met Dirk Tuypens, with whom he became involved in the peace movement and bombspotting. This collaboration led to the theatrical production '' Vaderland'' ("Fatherland"). On the set of ''Heterdaad'' he met Joachim Lafosse, with whom he made several films, among them '' Tribu'', '' Ça rend heureux'', and '' Nue Propriété''. Johan Hoogewijs (born 22 December 1957, Belgium) is a Flemish Belgian composer and sound designer, best known for his music to Flemish and Dutch TV series such as ''Heterdaad'', ''Russen'' and ''Witse''. Flikken
Flikken (Belgian Dutch for "Cops") was a popular Flemish-Belgian TV series about a police-department located in Ghent. The show started in 1999 and ended on 19 April 2009. In the series, a team of six police officers solved various crimes, petty crimes as well as organised crime. The series always aimed at showing the policework in a realistic way—though a little personal drama was never far off. Of all the actors that came along during the ten seasons, only Mark Tijsmans (playing Wilfried Pasmans) and Ludo Hellinx (playing Raymond Jacobs) appeared throughout the entire series. Flikken was produced by the VRT and broadcast on Belgian public channel Eén and TROS in the Netherlands. Flikken is very popular in Belgium and the Netherlands. The show has had very high ratings of up to 1.8 million viewers during the last (10th) season. Eén focuses on drama, entertainment, news and current affairs in a similar vein to BBC One in the United Kingdom. The station was formerly known as VRT TV1 until the current Eén branding was launched as part of a major station revamp on 21 January 2005, with a look created by BBC Broadcast.
