Heroes And Zeroes
Heroes & Zeros is a rock band from Lillesand, Norway. The group was formed by Hans Jørgen Undelstvedt, Lars Løberg Tofte, and Arne Kjelsrud Mathisen in 2003. Tofte quit the band in 2010 and was replaced by Simen Krogstie Lagesen. They have released three studio albums, two EPs, and three live records. History Heroes & Zeros formed in 2003 in Lillesand and they moved to Oslo soon after. In 2006, they won Norway's NRK Urørt music contest and subsequently went on a nationwide tour with Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band and Minor Majority. They signed a record deal with Universal Music Norway in the same year. Their first release, the 2006 EP '' Circles'', was released on the band's own label, Heroes & Zeros Music. The debut album '' Strange Constellations'' came out a year later, published by Universal. Lillesand () is municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sørlandet. The administrative center of the municipality is the town of Lillesand. Minor Majority
Norwegian pop group Minor Majority was formed by Pål Angelskår and Andreas Berczelly as a studio project in the spring of 2000. Their first record, '' Walking Home from Nicole's'', was released one year later with significant help from singer/songwriter Karen Jo Fields. History In November 2001, the band saw the addition of guitarist Jon Arild Stieng and the trio went on tour for the first time in the spring of 2002. Berczelly left the band and concentrated full-time on producing, which he has done for the band ever since. The band's next album, '' If I Told You, You Were Beautiful'', was recorded in Stieng's house in Oslo that same summer, and was released in October. Grimstad () is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It belongs to the geographical region of Sørlandet. The administrative center of the municipality is the town of Grimstad. Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. First awarded in 1973, the prize honours musicians from the previous year; it is still awarded annually, usually in January or February. The Spellemann committee, composed of members of IFPI Norway and FONO, manages the award and acts as the judge. 21 categories are currently awarded, in addition to other honorary and industry awards the committee may give. Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band is a Norwegian electronica/hip-hop group/producer. Career The band was formed in 1997. They released a 7" and a 12" on Telle Records. In 2002, they were signed by the U.S. label Emperor Norton Records and released ''A Special EP'', followed by the full-length ''A Special Album'' was released May 20, 2003, and received a positive review in ''CMJ''. ''CMJ'' did a promotion with the band as well, and commented on their influences: "influenced by old-school porn soundtracks and Russ Meyer flicks--what could be better?"
