Hernando Perez
Hernando Benito Perez (; born September 27, 1939), also known as Nani Perez and colloquially as Nani, is a Filipino lawyer, academic, and a former politician who is currently serving as the President of the University of Batangas. He previously served in the Arroyo administration as the Secretary of Justice, and as the Secretary of Transportation and Communications under former President Corazon Aquino. Life and education Perez was born on 1939 in Batangas. He studied law at Ateneo de Manila University and was admitted to the bar in 1962. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. The Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino () is a centre-right political party in the Philippines. The Batangas Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Batangas. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into six districts, two representatives in each district. Manuel Collantes
Manuel G. Collantes (August 20, 1917 – May 28, 2009) was a Filipino diplomat who served as the country's acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1984. Collantes was raised in Tanauan, Batangas. He received his law degree from Far Eastern University in 1940, and passed the bar exam later that same year. He began his career by working as an assistant attorney at the Claro M. Recto law office for a short period. He also taught diplomacy and international law, as well as parliamentary practice at Far Eastern University. He met his wife, Consuelo Madrigal, in Washington, D.C. in 1949 while Collantes was working as the second secretary and consul at the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington, D.C.
