''Sisters'' () is a 2005 drama film written and directed by Julia Solomonoff, her first feature motion picture. The picture has a number of producers, including: Mariela Besuievski, Pablo Bossi, Florencia Enghel, Gerardo Herrero, Vanessa Ragone, Walter Salles, and Ariel Saúl. The film features Valeria Bertuccelli, Ingrid Rubio, among others. Plot In 1976, during the political turmoil in Argentina, two sisters flee their country right after Natalia's politically active boyfriend Martin disappears; one goes to Spain, and the other to Texas, United States. After eight years in Spain, Natalia ( Ingrid Rubio) travels to Texas to visit her sister Elena (Valeria Bertuccelli), who's now a suburban wife and mother. She brings with her their father's manuscript of his last novel. The unpublished novel reveals the story of their family during the Argentine dictatorship. Julia Solomonoff (born March 4, 1968, in Entre Ríos) is an Argentine film actress, producer, film and television director, and screenplay writer. She lives in Buenos Aires and works in the cinema of Argentina and is a professor as well as the current Chair of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program in New York City. Eusebio Poncela Aprea (born 15 September 1947) is a Spanish actor. Biography Eusebio Poncela Aprea was born in Madrid on 15 September 1947. After graduating in drama, he made his debut onstage in the play ''Mariana Pineda (play), Mariana Pineda'' in the mid-1960s. He appeared in ''The Cannibal Man'' (1972) and ''A House Without Boundaries'' (1972), but his first major role was the protagonist of the cult film ''Arrebato'' (1979), directed by Iván Zulueta.
