Herman Wildenvey Poetry Award
The Herman Wildenvey Poetry Award ( no, Herman Wildenveys Poesipris) is a Norwegian award. It is conferred every year on July 20, the birthday of the poet Herman Wildenvey, in an event held at Hergisheim. The award consists of NOK 15,000 and a bronze relief plaque designed by the sculptor Ørnulf Bast. The award is given to a person or institution that has helped foster interest in Herman Wildenvey's poetry and stimulated efforts for his poetic values to hold a greater place in everyday life. The award was conferred for the first time in 1996 by the Wildenvey Society ( no, Wildenvey-selskapet). After this society became defunct in 2014, the award still continued at the initiative of the former directors of the society. Lise Fjeldstad
Lise Barbra Skappel Fjeldstad (born 17 June 1939) is a Norwegian actress, and daughter of the conductor and violinist Øivin Fjeldstad. A graduate of the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1963, she started working at Det Norske Teatret (the Norwegian Theater) immediately afterward. In 1975 she was hired by the National Theatre, where she has acted in roles such as "Blanche Dubois" in Tennessee Williams's ''A Streetcar Named Desire'', and "Agnes" in Henrik Ibsens ''Brand''. She won the Amanda – the main Norwegian film award – for best actress for her role in '' Dødsdansen'' in 1991. She has two children with her partner, actor Per Sunderland. Helge Torvund
Helge Torvund (born 20 August 1951) is a Norwegian psychologist, poet, essayist, literary critic and children's writer. He was born in Hå municipality and is brother of sculptor Gunnar Torvund. He made his literary debut in 1977 with ''Hendene i byen''. In 1989 he was awarded the Nynorsk Literature Prize for the poetry collection ''Den monotone triumf''. Tom Lotherington (born 15 June 1950) is a Norwegian poet, novelist, biographer and translator. He made his literary debut in 1972 with the poetry collection ''Hverdagsfantasier''. Louis Jacoby (singer)
Louis Arnold Jacoby (born September 6, 1942) is a Norwegian singer and writer from Larvik. Jacoby grew up in Larvik's Torstrand district but has lived in Ula for many years. He is the son of the writer Arnold Jacoby (1913–2002). Jacoby has won the Prøysen Award and the Herman Wildenvey Poetry Award, and he was named " Beer Dog of the Year" ( no, Årets Ølhund) by the Norwegian Brewery Association in 1990. His best-known song "Hverdag" (Everyday) has been named one of Norway's national songs. Kristin Solli Schøien
Kristin Solli Schøien (born July 14, 1954 in Oslo) is a Norwegians, Norwegian author and composer. Schøien studied at NLA University College, the University of Oslo, and the Norwegian Academy of Music. She is especially known for her hymnwriting. Schøien lives in Eidskog and was previously employed as a lecturer at the MF Norwegian School of Theology, Norwegian School of Theology. She also became known for the cabaret show ''Jeg synger min sang for vinden'' (I Sing My Song to the Wind), which sets to music poetry by Herman Wildenvey. It was first staged in 1990, and later in many places throughout Norway. A CD with the same title was later issued.
