Roy Clements (director)
Roy Clements (January 12, 1877 – July 15, 1948), was an American film director and screenwriter of the silent film, silent era. He directed more than 130 films between 1914 and 1927. He also wrote for 26 films between 1915 and 1942. He was born in Sterling, Illinois and died in Los Angeles, California. Colin Kenny (4 December 1888 – 2 December 1968) was an Irish film actor. He appeared in 260 films between 1918 and 1965. He was born in Dublin, Ireland and died in Los Angeles, California. Kenny was educated in England and left London to come to the United States in 1917. This is a list of film serials by studio, separated into those released by each of the five major studios, and the remaining minor studios. The five major studios produced the greater number of serials. Of these the main studios are considered to be Columbia Pictures, Universal Pictures, and Republic Pictures. All three were active during the 1930s and 1940s. The other two major studios are Mascot Pictures, which later merged into Republic, and Pathé Exchange, which ceased serial production before the advent of sound. Sam Lufkin
Samuel "Sam" William Lufkin (May 8, 1891 – February 19, 1952) was an American actor who usually appeared in small or bit roles in short comedy films. Career Born in Utah, Lufkin spent most of his career at the Hal Roach Studios where he made over 60 films. In over half of these, he appeared alongside Laurel and Hardy, again mostly in small parts, but occasionally in more substantial roles, such as an irascible cop (''The Music Box''), or an irate motorist ('' Two Tars''). After Laurel and Hardy left Roach in 1940, the grim-faced Lufkin mostly appeared in further bit roles in Hollywood feature films before his death of uremia in 1952. Frank Lackteen (born Mohammed Hassan Lackteen August 29, 1897 – July 8, 1968) was an American film actor best known for his antagonistic roles. He appeared in nearly 200 films between 1915 and 1965, including several Three Stooges shorts. Biography Lackteen made his first American film in 1915 and was often seen as a villain in silent films. Many of his film appearances came in Westerns and serials. Lackteen was born in Kab-Elias, Lebanon, and attended an American school in Lebanon. He spent most of his childhood in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
