Hay is a town in the western Riverina region of south western New South Wales, Australia. It is the administrative centre of Hay Shire local government area and the centre of a prosperous and productive agricultural district on the wide Hay Plains. Taunton Iron Works
The Taunton Iron Works (also known as Leonard Iron Works) was located on the banks of the Forge River in what is now Raynham, Massachusetts. It was the first iron works established in Plymouth Colony, and only the third in New England. Much more successful than earlier works at Saugus, and Braintree, it operated for a remarkable period of two hundred and twenty years, from 1656 to 1876. History On October 21, 1652, after the discovery of large amounts of bog ore in the area, residents of Taunton voted to establish an iron works in their town. The town invited brothers Henry and James Leonard and Ralph Russell, experienced iron men who had worked at the works in Braintree to come to Taunton to set up a works on the Two Mile River. The Leonard brothers had emigrated from Pontypool, Wales to work at the iron works in Lynn ( Saugus), and later at Braintree. Colorado's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. It takes in most of the rural Western Slope in the state's western third portion, with a tendril in the south taking in some of the southern portions of the Eastern Plains. It includes the cities of Grand Junction, Durango, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Ignacio, and Pueblo. The district is currently represented by Republican Lauren Boebert. The district was represented from 1987 to 1993 by Ben Nighthorse Campbell before he ran for the U.S. Senate and switched parties from Democratic to Republican. The district's former representative Scott R. Tipton lost renomination in 2020 to the more conservative Boebert in what was considered a major upset. Henry Lennard, 12th Baron Dacre (Born Chevening, Kent 25 March 1570 – 8 August 1616) was an English baron and politician. He was the son of Margaret Fiennes, 11th Baroness Dacre and Sampson Lennard. He was Member of Parliament for West Looe in 1597–1598. He successfully claimed the barony of Dacre on his mother's 1612. He married, in 1589, Chrysogona Baker, daughter of Sir Richard Baker of Sissinghurst and Mary Gifford, by whom he had issue:. *Richard Lennard, 13th Baron Dacre (1596-1630) *Fynes, baptised at Sevenoaks on 27 December 1597 *Edward, baptised at Chevening on 17 November 1611 *Margaret Lennard, baptised at Sevenoaks on 27 October 1594, married Sir Annesley Wildgoose of Iridge Court, Salehurst in Sussex. The Lennard Baronetcy, of West Wickham in the County of Kent, was created in the Baronetage of England on 15 August 1642 for Stephen Lennard. The second Baronet sat as Member of Parliament for Winchelsea and Kent. The third Baronet was Member of Parliament for Hythe. The title became extinct on his death in 1727.
