Henry Fabián Kronfle Kozhaya (born 1972) is an Ecuadorian businessman and politician, serving as the President of the National Assembly since November 2023. Life Kronfle was born in Guayaquil. Before entering politics, he served as president of the Chamber of Industries of Ecuador and Guayaquil, as well as a university professor. He also manages and is a shareholder in several companies such as Maupaz S.A., Inmobiliaria Krokoz S.A., Rioariesa S.A., Promo Marketing S.A. and Inmobiliaria Krovi S.A. In Ecuadorian politics, (; , ) is the name commonly given to a mechanism governing the impeachment of the president of Ecuador and the dissolution of the National Assembly provided for in Articles 130 and 148 of the 2008 Constitution. Article 148 grants the president the power to dissolve the National Assembly, but only at the price of giving the electorate the opportunity to vote the president out of office. The mechanism requires that a special election be held following dissolution, in which a new president and vice-president and a new National Assembly are elected. The candidates elected – to both the executive and legislative branches – then serve out the remainder of the current presidential and legislative terms. A regular election for a full four-year period of office then takes place, in keeping with the normal electoral calendar. The National Democratic Action (ADN, es, Acción Democrática Nacional) is a political alliance and movement in Ecuador created to support the candidacy of Daniel Noboa in the 2023 presidential election. History Daniel Noboa announced his presidential candidacy in May 2023 following the Ecuadorian political crisis.
