Henry James Hyne (1867–1936) was an Australian businessman and the mayor of Maryborough, Queensland from 1913 to 1918. Early life Henry Hyne was born in 1867 in Queensland, the son of Richard Matthews Hyne and his wife Elizabeth (née Lambert). Henry Hyne was educated at the Maryborough Grammar School. Maryborough ( ) is a city and a suburb in the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. At the 2021 Census, Maryborough had a population of 15,287. Geography Maryborough is located on the Mary River in Queensland, Australia, approximately north of the state capital, Brisbane. The city is served by the Bruce Highway. It is closely tied to its neighbour city Hervey Bay which is approximately northeast. Together they form part of the area known as the Fraser Coast. Maryborough Grammar School
Maryborough State High School (commonly abbreviated as 'MSHS') is an Independent Public School located in Maryborough, Queensland, Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. The school is run by the Queensland State Government, and is split on either side of Kent Street. The school colours are blue and brown. In 2022 MSHS had 1260 students (including 79 students identifying as Indigenous Australians, indigenous) with 102 teachers and 60 non-teaching staff (35 full-time equivalent). The City of Maryborough was a local government area located in the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland, Australia, containing the urban locality of Maryborough as well as the southern half of Fraser Island (also known as K'Gari and Gari).
