Henry Augustus Field
Henry Augustus Field (1852 – 8 December 1899) was a Liberal Party Member of Parliament in New Zealand. By profession a surveyor, he retired in his late 20s due to rheumatism and became a farmer. He died in office just two days after having won his second parliamentary election. Biography Field was born in Wanganui in 1852, the son of Henry Claylands Field (1825–1912) and his wife Margaret Symes Puslow. His father was a civil engineer from Holybourne, Hampshire, England, who had come to Wanganui in the early 1850s. H. A. Field received a private education at Wanganui. He became a survey cadet in 1868 and qualified in 1872. Together with his Christchurch cousin, D. H. Monro, he surveyed the Upper Whanganui River and the Taupo District immediately following the New Zealand Wars. He retired from surveying in 1878 as he suffered from rheumatism and moved to Waikanae, where he was farming. Henry Field (29 September 1755 – 19 December 1837) was an English apothecary. Life Born on 29 September 1755, was the eldest son of John Field, an apothecary in extensive practice in Newgate Street, London, by his wife, Anne, daughter of Thomas Cromwell, grocer, who was a grandson of Henry Cromwell, lord deputy of Ireland. He succeeded his father in his profession, and in 1807 was elected apothecary to Christ's Hospital, a post which he continued to fill until within a short time of his death. As a member of the Society of Apothecaries he promoted its interests. He gave with Joseph Hurlock free courses of lectures on '' materia medica'' at their hall to the apprentices and students, which resulted in the regular establishment of lectures by the society. Henry Ibbot Field
Henry Ibbot Field (6 December 1797 – 19 May 1848), was an English classical pianist. Field was born at Bath on 6 December 1797, was the son of Thomas Field, for many years the organist at Bath Abbey, by his wife, Mary Harvey, who died 15 June 1815. The father died 21 December 1831. Henry was the eldest of a family of seven children. He was educated first at Holdstock's Academy, and afterwards at the Bath Grammar School. At a very early age he showed his aptitude for music. He was taught by his father, and afterwards by James Morris Coombs, the organist of Chippenham. In 1807, being then just ten years of age, he performed for the first time in public, in a duet with his father. On 15 June 1830 he played with Johann Hummel, in the latter's Grand Sonata, op. 92. Henry Field (December 15, 1902 – January 4, 1986) was an American anthropologist and archaeologist. Early life Henry Field was born in Chicago, a great nephew of the merchant Marshall Field and a great nephew of Barbour Lathrop. His parents' marriage did not last long, and his mother, Minna Field, married secondly Algernon Burnaby of Baggrave Hall, Hungarton, Leicestershire, England, where Field grew up. A millionaire, Field was involved in the business ventures of his brother Marshall Field, as well as many other commercial ventures.
