Henriette Ottenheimer
Henriette Ottenheimer (10 September 1807 – late March 1883) was a German Jewish poet. She was born to Jewish parents Jakob and Sara Ottenheimer in Stuttgart, Württemberg, and became partially paralysed at the age of six. She was particularly interested in Jewish history from an early age, and so she made it her life's work to contribute to the fight against anti-Semitism with her poetry. She numbered among her friends and correspondents many famous personages, including Ludwig Uhland, Friedrich Rückert, Michael Beer, Gabriel Rießer, Wolfgang Menzel, and others. In the 1870s she became completely paralyzed, and lived with an aged sister near Ratisbon. Henriette Ottenheimer wrote much, both in prose and in poetry, although she published little. Her most important work is the poem "Der Kettenschmied, ein Märchentraum" (Stuttgart, 1835), dedicated to Uhland. Morgenblatt Für Gebildete Stände
The ''Morgenblatt für gebildete Stände'' ("Morning paper for the educated classes", renamed to ''Morgenblatt für gebildete Leser'', "Morning paper for educated readers" in 1837) was a German cultural and literary journal that existed from 1807 to 1865. It appeared daily (Monday to Saturday) until 1851, when it was changed to a weekly journal. The was published by Cotta in Tübingen and later in Stuttgart, and was the most important German literary and cultural journal of its time. Conception and history The was founded by Johann Friedrich Cotta, who had in 1806 envisioned creating a South German equivalent of , a journal edited in Berlin by August von Kotzebue, but Cotta's letters to Goethe show that the idea of having a regional focus was soon dropped. Eduard Duller
Eduard Duller (18 November 1809, Vienna – 24 July 1853, Wiesbaden) was a German-Austrian writer and clergyman, very active as a poet, novelist and later as a historian. Life His biological father died before his birth and so he was brought up lovingly but strictly by his stepfather. A gifted child, he studied philosophy and law in his home town of Vienna as well as writing his first fiction, premiering his first play, titled ''Meister Pilgram'', aged 17. His advanced humanist attitudes made him unsuited to Austrian education under the Metternich System and its Carlsbad Decrees, so in 1830 he left Austria for Munich, where in 1831 he premiered his play ''Die Wittelsbacher''. A year later he mover to Trier, befriending and graduating alongside Friedrich von Sallet. In Trier he withdrew into himself, but gained the clergy's hatred through his play ''Franz von Sickingen''.
