Henri Thiéry
Henri Thiéry (Paris, 1829 – Bougival, 1 August 1872) was a 19th-century French journalist and playwright. Charles Dupeuty
Charles Désiré Dupeuty (6 February 1798 – 20 October 1865), was a 19th-century French librettist and playwright. Biography After he studied at the Lycée Impérial, he enrolled in the army during the Hundred Days then worked as an employee. He made his debut in the theatre in 1821, and in 1825 founded the opposition newspaper ''La nouveauté''. He is famous for being one of the founders of the Société des auteurs dramatiques of which he was vice-président for six years. Many of his plays were performed on the most important Parisians stages of the 19th century: Théâtre des Folies-Dramatiques, Théâtre du Vaudeville, Théâtre du Palais-Royal, Théâtre de la Gaîté, Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin, Théâtre des Variétés etc. Adolphe Dupeuty was his son. Ernest Blum (15 August 1836 – 18 September 1907) was a French playwright. Biography He made his debut as a writer at the age of sixteen with ''Une femme qui mord''. As a journalist, he was associated with ''Le Charivari'', '' Le Rappel'', ''Le Gaulois'', and other publications. Many of his dramatic works were written in collaboration with Clairville, Flan, Monnier, Brisharre, Eugène Labiche, Raoul Toché and others. Paul Siraudin
Pierre-Paul-Désiré Siraudin (18 December 1812 – 8 September 1883) was a French playwright and librettist. He also used the pen names Paul de Siraudin de Sancy, Paul Siraudin de Sancy and M. Malperché. Biography He wrote many plays, mainly comedies and vaudevilles written in collaboration, notably with Alfred Delacour and Lambert-Thiboust. He also authored librettos for successful operettas and opéras-comiques, including ''La fille de Madame Angot'' (1872) in collaboration with Clairville and Victor Koning with music by Charles Lecocq. In 1860, Siraudin opened a confectionery shop — the Maison Siraudin — at the corner of the Rue de la Paix and the Place Vendôme. William Busnach
William Bertrand Busnach (7 March 1832, Paris – 20 January 1907, Paris) was a French dramatist. Biography Busnach was a nephew of the composer Fromental Halévy. His father was associated with David Ben Joseph Coen Bakri, to whom France was indebted to the amount of some twenty-odd million francs for provisions furnished to Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt. The lawsuit lasted for more than fifty years, and Busnach and his partner were not paid in full at the end. The elder Busnach, an Algerian Jew, became a naturalised Italian in the time of the Deys, and was the first interpreter of the French army. He established himself in Paris in 1835. William – an Italian Jew born in France of an Algerian father, with a German surname and an English given name – was at first employed in the customs department. The Cogniard brothers were two French brothers who worked as playwrights and theatre directors, producing an incalculable number of vaudevilles, reviews, féeries and operettas. The elder of the two was Charles-Théodore or Théodore Cogniard (30 April 1806 - 13 May 1872) and the younger was Jean-Hippolyte or Hippolyte Cogniard (28 November 1807 – 6 February 1882) Both brothers were born and died in Paris.
