Lee Hendrie
Lee Andrew Hendrie (born 18 May 1977) is an English former professional footballer and pundit for Sky Sports. As a player, he was a midfielder who notably played in the Premier League for Aston Villa where he spent fourteen years. He also played for the England U21 and England B sides, and earned one full cap for England in 1998. He has also played in Football League for Stoke City, Sheffield United, Leicester City, Derby County, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bradford City. Philip Stephen Hendrie (born September 1, 1952) is an American radio personality and actor. He is widely known for his voiceover talent throughout the radio and film industry. Stuart Scott Hendrie (born 1 November 1989) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for side Walsall Wood, as a striker. He previously played for a number of non-League clubs in the Midlands area, and made seven appearances in the Football League for Morecambe. As a youngster, he played in midfield, later developing into a striker. Playing career Early career Hendrie joined Aston Villa's academy at the age of eleven, moving on to Tamworth before joining the youth team at Walsall. John Hendrie (Scottish Footballer)
John Grattan Hendrie (born 24 October 1963) is a Scottish former professional association footballer who played on the right wing or in attack. His career started at Coventry City but he moved to Bradford City, where he played 173 consecutive league games, winning one promotion and narrowly missing out on another. Following spells with Newcastle United and Leeds United, he moved to Middlesbrough and scored the final goal at Ayresome Park among his 44 goals for Boro. Paul Hendrie (born 27 March 1954) is a Scottish former football midfielder who made nearly 400 professional appearances. His son, midfielder Lee Hendrie, made a late substitute appearance for England in 1998. Another son, Stuart, played league football for Morecambe. Herbert Hendrie (Manchester, 1887–1946) was an English stained glass artist. He is known for his strong simple designs with scintillating jewel-like effects. Among his best-known works are the fifteen windows for Kippen church and the tall stained glass windows for Liverpool Cathedral. Biography Hendrie was born in Manchester. He trained at the Slade School of Art, London and the Royal College of Art, and as a pupil of Christopher Whitworth Whall. He taught at the Edinburgh College of Art for 20 years. He made use of the facilities of Lowndes and Drury (stained glass workers). Among his students were Sax Shaw and Willie Wilson, both of whom went on to become leading stained glass artists. Gilbert John Hendrie (15 July 1901 – 24 June 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The fifth son of Thomas Bruce Hendrie and Alice Charlotte Ingram, Hendrie grew up in the Hawthorn area. Anita Hendrie
Anita Hendrie ( – April 15, 1940) was an American actress. She appeared in 67 silent motion pictures between 1908 and 1912, in addition to working in stock theater and vaudeville. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Scott Hendrie and M. Louise Morton. Her father was a surgeon. Her grandfathers were John Martin, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and painter Benjamin West. In about 1902, she and actor/director David Miles were married, which they remained until his death. Hendrie acted with the stock company at Forepaugh's theater in Cincinnati before moving to Salt Lake City in 1907 to perform there. In 1899, she performed in vaudeville. Hendrie died at her home in Brooklyn at age 72 on April 15, 1940. She is interred at Milford, Connecticut. Thomas Hendrie (born 24 October 1955) is a Scottish former professional football player and manager. Playing career A midfielder, Hendrie plied his trade at a number of clubs in the late 1970s, Dundee, Arbroath, Gateshead and Goole Town before settling at Meadowbank Thistle in 1980. Here he made 335 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals before leaving to join Berwick Rangers in 1992. Managerial career Hendrie became manager of Berwick in January 1994 and in his first season he took them to second place in the Second Division, narrowly missing out on promotion due to league reconstruction. In 1996, he moved to Alloa Athletic and he took them to the Third Division championship in 1998.
