Hema Upadhyay
Hema Upadhyay (born Hema Hirani; 1972 – 11 December 2015) was an Indian artist based in Mumbai. She was known for photography and sculptural installations. She was active from 1998 until her death in 2015. Personal life Born Hema Hirani in Baroda, she met her future husband and fellow artist Chintan Upadhyay in 1992. The couple married in 1998, and settled in Mumbai. They worked together in many exhibitions, before filing for a divorce in 2010. They were officially divorced in 2014. Chintan then moved to Delhi; she lived in their flat on the Juhu-Tara road. Early works Hema had her first solo exhibition, titled ''Sweet Sweat Memories'', at Gallery Chemould, now Chemould Prescott road (Mumbai), in 2001. Vadodra
Vadodara (), also known as Baroda, is the second largest city in the Indian state of Gujarat. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the Vadodara district and is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River, from the state capital of Gandhinagar. Chintan Upadhyay
Chintan Upadhyay (born 1972) is an Indian artist. He was awarded the Charles Wallace Foundation Award for Residency in Bristol, UK in 2012. He began as a painter, but now creates sculptures and installations, the surfaces of which he paints. His best known sculpture project is perhaps the Pet Shop project, which is an ongoing production of a "model baby" for every season, ''Baby fetish''. Early life Chintan was born in 1972 in Partapur, Rajasthan, India, and gained a BFA Painting Faculty of Fine Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat, India in 1995 and MFA Painting Faculty of Fine Arts from M.S. University, Gujarat, India in 1997. Accused of murder In December 2015, Upadhyay was accused and arrested in connection with the double murder of his estranged wife Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Haresh Bhambhani. Peter Nagy (born 1959) is an American artist and gallerist. Nagy is the owner of Gallery Nature Morte, founded in New York City and now located in India. Early life Nagy was born in 1959 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He studied at the Parsons School of Design, receiving a degree in communication design in 1981. Career as gallerist With the artist Alan Belcher, Nagy opened Gallery Nature Morte in East Village, Manhattan, New York City in 1982. Nagy was a part of a generation of the East Village artist-gallery owners who established a small and rough but trendy avant-garde alternative to the established SoHo art scene. The gallery was open for six years, until 1988. They combined conceptualism and pop art, exploring the relationship between the art and the commodity. Agni
Agni (English: , sa, अग्नि, translit=Agni) is a Sanskrit word meaning fire and connotes the Vedic fire deity of Hinduism. He is also the guardian deity of the southeast direction and is typically found in southeast corners of Hindu temples. The Henie Onstad Kunstsenter is an art museum located at Høvikodden in Bærum municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is situated on a headland jutting into the Oslofjord, approximately southwest of Oslo.
