Heléne Fritzon
Marie Heléne Elisabeth Fritzon (born 29 September 1960) is a Swedish politician of the Social Democrats. She has been Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and Vice-Chair of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats since July 2019. Fritzon served as Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy from 2017 to 2019. Before becoming a cabinet minister, Fritzon was Mayor of Kristianstad Municipality. Career Minister for Migration Fritzon was appointed Minister for Migration on 27 July 2017. At the same time, she was appointed Deputy Minister for Justice. Member of the European Parliament Fritzon was elected Member of the European Parliament in the 2019 European Parliament election in Sweden. In parliament, she has since been serving as vice-chair of the S&D Group, under the leadership of chairwoman Iratxe García. Progressive Alliance Of Socialists And Democrats
The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) is the political group in the European Parliament of the Party of European Socialists (PES). The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats was officially founded as a Socialist Group on 29 June 1953 which makes it the second oldest political group in the European Parliament after Renew Europe (Renew). It adopted its present-day name on 23 June 2009. Centre-left in orientation, the group mostly comprises social-democratic parties and is affiliated with the Progressive Alliance and Socialist International. Until the 1999 European Parliament elections, it was the largest group in the Parliament, but since then it has always been the second-largest group. Iratxe García Pérez (; born 7 October 1974) is a Spanish politician of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). She has served as Member of the European Parliament since 2004, and has served as the Leader of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats parliamentary group since 2019. The Swedish Election Authority ( sv, Valmyndigheten) is a government agency responsible for organizing national elections and referendums in Sweden. The agency began its operations on 1 July 2001 when it took over the responsibilities from the Swedish National Tax Board. Local and regional elections are the responsibility of the respective municipalities and county councils, however these elections always take place concurrently with the national elections for the Riksdag. Kristianstad Municipality (''Kristianstads kommun'') is a municipality in Scania County in southernmost Sweden. Its seat is located in the city Kristianstad. The present municipality was created in three steps during the last nationwide local government reform, and it has the largest area of the municipalities of Skåne County. ''Expressen'' (''The Express'') is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being '' Aftonbladet''. ''Expressen'' was founded in 1944; its symbol is a wasp and its slogans are "it stings" or "''Expressen'' to your rescue".
