Helge Gaarder
Helge Gaarder (25 November 1953 – 15 April 2004) was a Norwegian singer, composer, journalist and producer. Gaarder was born in Oslo to children's writer Inger Margrethe Gaarder, and was a brother of Jostein Gaarder. He was a member of various musical groups, including the anarchist band Geitost, the punk band , the experimental band Montasje, and the rock band . In 1984 he issued the solo album ''Eine keine Angst Musik''. Inger Margrethe Gaarder
Inger Margrethe Gaarder (née Berthelsen; 8 June 1926 – 31 December 1993) was a Norwegian children's literature, children's writer. She made her literary debut in 1977 with the children's book ''Nikolai begynner på skolen''. She published books with myths and fairy tales from Sri Lanka and from India, and contributed to textbooks for primary school. She was awarded the Cappelen Prize in 1986. She was the mother of Jostein Gaarder and Helge Gaarder. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Jostein Gaarder
Jostein Gaarder (; born 8 August 1952) is a Norwegian intellectual and author of several novels, short stories, and children's books. Gaarder often writes from the perspective of children, exploring their sense of wonder about the world. He often utilizes metafiction in his works and constructs stories within stories. His best known work is the novel '' Sophie's World: A Novel About the History of Philosophy'' (1991). It has been translated into 60 languages; there are over 40 million copies in print. Family Gaarder was born and raised in Oslo. His father was a school headmaster and his mother was a teacher and author of children’s books. Gaarder married Siri Dannevig in Oslo in 1974. Forente Artister
Forente Artister (English: United Artists) was a group of Norwegian artists that went together in 1985 to record the song ''Sammen for livet'' (English: ''Together for Life'') in order to raise money for the victims of hunger in Africa. The lyrics were written by Halvdan Sivertsen and the melody by Åge Aleksandersen. This project was inspired by Band Aid and Forente Artister was thus part of a large humanitarian initiative. The project resulted in an album which in addition to ''Sammen for livet'' also consisted of several newly recorded songs by some of the participators. The song and the project received a special award in the Spellemannsprisen 1985 (The Norwegian equivalent to Grammy awards).
