Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. Olympiatoppen is an organisation that is part of Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports with responsibility for training Norwegian elite sport. Olympiatoppen is based at the Toppidrettssenteret between Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and Sognsvann. The leader of Olympiatoppen is Tore Øvrebø. Central is the idea of ''coaches'' for priority sports. These ''coaches'' are Johan Kaggestad for strength sports, together with Atle Kvålsvoll and Roger Gjedsvik, Michael Jørgensen for technical sports, and Marit Breivik and Torgeir Bryn for team sports. 49erFX
The 49er and 49er FX is a two-handed skiff-type high-performance sailing dinghy. The two crew work on different roles with the helm making many tactical decisions, as well as steering, and the crew doing most of the sail control. Both of the crew are equipped with their own trapeze and sailing is done while cantilevered over the water to the fullest extent to balance against the sails. The 49er was designed by Julian Bethwaite (the son of Frank Bethwaite) and developed by a consortium consisting of Bethwaites, Performance Sailcraft Japan, Peter Johnston, and Ovington boats. The boat has been an Olympic class since it was selected by the International Sailing Federation to be the men's high performance double handed dinghy Sydney Summer Games of 2000. Marie Rønningen (born 13 March 1994) is a Norwegian competitive sailor, born in Bærum. Sailing the 49er FX, her achievements include two gold medals at the European championships, a silver medal at the world championships, and a fourth place and seventh place at the Olympic Games. Career Rønningen won a gold medal in 49er FX at the 2018 49er & 49er FX European Championships, along with Helene Næss. Selected to represent Norway at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, along with Næss, they placed seventh in 49erFX. Rønningen and Næss won a silver medal at the 2021 49er & 49er FX World Championships. Along with Næss, she won a gold medal at the 2023 European Championships.
