Heilbronn Hills
The Heilbronn Hills (german: Heilbronner Berge) in the borough of Heilbronn with foothills in the county of Heilbronn are the northwestern outliers of the Lowenstein Hills in the south German state of Baden-Württemberg and reach a height of . Together with the Sulm Plateau to the northeast they are often known as the Heilbronn Uplands (''Heilbronner Bergland''). Geography Location The Heilbronn Hills forms the northwestern foothills of the Löwenstein Hills in the west-northwestern part of the Swabian-Franconian Forest. The region extends from north to south, bulging eastwards in a sickle-shape around the city of Heilbronn. In the north and northeast it is bounded by the valley of Weinsberger Tal on the far side of which is the Sulm Plateau. Swabian-Franconian Forest
The Swabian-Franconian Forest (german: Schwäbisch-Fränkischen Waldberge, also ''Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald'') is a mainly forested, deeply incised upland region, 1,187 km² in area and up to , in the northeast of Baden-Württemberg. It forms natural region major unit number 108 within the Swabian Keuper-Lias Land (major unit group 10 or D58). Its name is derived from the fact that, in medieval times, the border between the duchies of Franconia and Swabia ran through this forested region. In addition, the Swabian dialect in the south transitions to the East Franconian dialect in the north here. Neckarsulm () is a city in northern Baden-Württemberg, Germany, near Heilbronn, and part of the district of Heilbronn. , Neckarsulm had 26,800 inhabitants.
