Heikendorf
Heikendorf is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is a seaside resort off the Baltic Sea, located approximately 10 km from Kiel. The oldest part of the town is the Old Viking settlement in Möltenort. Klaus-Dieter Flick
Klaus-Dieter Flick (born 1937 in Germany) is a German lawyer and wealthy former financial broker, known as a convicted Nazi art and military equipment collector from Kitzeberg, a wealthy suburb of Heikendorf on the Kieler Förde (Kiel Fjord). Flick became internationally known in 2015 through the affair surrounding the ''Wehrmacht'' tank set up in a hall of honor in his underground Fallout shelter. Newspaper reports about the affair went around the world and were among others published in ''The New York Times'', ''The Washington Post'', ''Le Monde'' and ''The Guardian'' (London). Adolf Dethmann
Adolf Dethmann (born 3 December 1896, Neumünster; died 6 August 1979, Hamburg) was a German engineer, social scientist and communist activist and industrial manager. Adolf Dethmann was a son of Hans Peter Adolf Dethmann (born 20 February 1865 in Meldorf) and his wife Katharina Henriette (Henny), (born Boysen on 8 December 1870 in Flensburg; died 1 October 1952 in Heikendorf). Dethmann was active in the Communist Party of Germany (KPD), editing the journal ''Spartakus'' - the KPD journal for Schleswig-Holstein in March 1919. However he was thrown out of the party following the Heidelberg conference in October 1919, and became a founder member of the Communist Workers Party of Germany (KAPD) when that was founded in April 1920. Dethmann had become friends with Hugo Junkers and in 1931 was appointed managing director of his company. Plön (district)
Plön () is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is bounded by (from the east and clockwise) the districts of Ostholstein and Segeberg, the city of Neumünster, the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, the city of Kiel and the Baltic Sea. History The district was established by the Prussian administration in 1867. In 1932 it was enlarged with parts of the dissolved district of Bordesholm. During the 20th century some municipalities left the district due to incorporation into the city of Kiel. Geography The inland part of this small district is covered with lakes. Baltic Sea
The Baltic Sea is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that is enclosed by Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden and the North and Central European Plain. Kiel
