Heidi Parviainen
Heidi Parviainen (born 8 March 1979) is a Finnish heavy metal singer and lead vocalist of symphonic metal band Dark Sarah. She previously fronted Amberian Dawn. She is a classically trained lyric soprano. Career Agonia, Iconofear (1997–2006) With Amberian Dawn (2006–2012) It turned out that she was exactly what they were looking for, due to her ability to both sing and contribute lyrics. This completed the band's lineup, now under the name of Amberian Dawn. Heidi started to write lyrics which were often influenced by Finnish and Norse mythology, and many songs reference the Finnish national poem Kalevala. She undertook three European tours with the band and performed at several European festivals. On 19 November 2012 the band announced that Heidi had parted ways with them. Dark Sarah is a Finnish symphonic metal band created by Heidi Parviainen, after her departure from Finnish metal band Amberian Dawn in 2012. Their style is often described as "cinematic metal". Kasperi Heikkinen
Kasperi Heikkinen (born 1980) is a guitar player who is best known as a member of Finnish symphonic power metal band Amberian Dawn. He played in the band from early 2007 until late 2012. He is also the guitarist for Finnish metal bands Merging Flare and Guardians of Mankind, which is a Gamma Ray tribute band. Heikkinen performed with German metal band U.D.O. from 2013 until 2017. He currently resides in Helsinki, Finland. As a touring musician, Heikkinen has played on part of the German Power Metal band Gamma Ray's Majestic tour in 2006 following an injury to Henjo Richter. On their most recent to the Metal-tour, Heikkinen replaced Henjo Richter once again for shows scheduled in Germany and Czech Republic in March 2010. Northern Kings is a Finnish symphonic metal cover band, cover supergroup, made up of four well known musicians: Jarkko Ahola from Teräsbetoni, ex-Dreamtale, Marko Hietala from Tarot (band), Tarot, ex-Nightwish, Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica and Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto from Charon (band), Charon and Harmaja (band), Harmaja. Their first single, "We Don't Need Another Hero" (originally performed by Tina Turner), was released in 2007, followed by their debut album ''Reborn (Northern Kings album), Reborn''. ''End of Eden'' is the third studio album by Amberian Dawn, and the first released on Spinefarm Records, previous albums having been released on KHY Suomen Musiikki. The album was released on 20 October 2010, but was preceded by its online single "Arctica" on 23 August. Background In November 2009, Amberian Dawn settled back in Finland after their ''The Clouds of Northland Thunder'' tour with Epica and Sons of Seasons. On 23 November the official website announced that main composer Tuomas Seppälä had many new songs finished for a third album, to be released in 2010, and that lyricist Heidi Parviainen had started writing the new lyrics. The recordings started in late 2009 with drums, and were finished within a half year. The songs "River of Tuoni" and "My Only Star" from the album were the first Amberian Dawn tracks to have a music video recorded, in May of 2008 and January 2009 respectively. The bonus track "Dreamchaser" is an instrumental version of a song by Atheme One, a band which featured founding Amberian Dawn members Tuomas Seppälä, Tommi Kuri, Heikki Saari and Tom Sagar. Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic power metal band, formed in 2006 by Tuomas Seppälä and Tommi Kuri. Their fifth album '' Re-Evolution'' (a re-recorded compilation with a new singer) was released on KHY Suomen Musiikki & Encore Music in summer 2013. Their latest album ''Looking for You'' was released in January 2020, via Napalm Records. History Atheme One (2006–2008) Several of the members that would later form Amberian Dawn previously played in the group Virtuocity, and after Virtuocity's breakup, they formed a new band, based on keyboardist and guitarist Tuomas Seppälä's songwriting. Toni Kristian "Tony" Kakko (born 16 May 1975) is a Finnish musician, composer and vocalist. He is known as the vocalist, primary songwriter, and creative lead of the band Sonata Arctica since 1996. Biography Kakko was born in Kemi, Finland and joined Sonata Arctica in 1996, after studying keyboards for two years and singing informally in local festivals. He initially performed both the keyboards and the vocals, but after the release of the band's first album, decided to concentrate on singing with the joining of Mikko Härkin. The bands Queen, Stratovarius, Children of Bodom and Nightwish are amongst his biggest musical influences. Kakko also states the season of winter as one of his influences. ''Unsung Heroes'' is the fifth album by Finnish folk metal band Ensiferum. It was released on 27 August 2012 through Spinefarm Records. Recording and production In February 2012, the band entered the studio and started recordings for the then untitled album. The band also announced on their Facebook page they would keep their fans up to date on theiMobile Twilight Tavernand with a weekly studio diary on Spinefarm's YouTube channel.
