Kirchspielslandgemeinde Heider Umland is an ''Amt'' ("collective municipality") in the district of Dithmarschen, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated around Heide, which is the seat of the ''Amt'', but not part of it. It was formed on 1 January 2008 from the former ''Ämter'' Kirchspielslandgemeinde Heide-Land and Kirchspielslandgemeinde Weddingstedt and the municipality Norderwöhrden. Amt (subnational Entity)
Amt is a type of administrative division governing a group of municipalities, today only in Germany, but formerly also common in other countries of Northern Europe. Its size and functions differ by country and the term is roughly equivalent to a US township or county or English shire district. Hemmingstedt
Hemmingstedt is a German municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. History Hemmingstedt is the namesake of the Battle of Hemmingstedt, which took place south of the place in today's municipal area of Epenwöhrden. Dithmarschen
Dithmarschen (, Northern Low Saxon, Low Saxon: ; archaic English: ''Ditmarsh''; da, Ditmarsken; la, label=Medieval Latin, Tedmarsgo) is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
