Health Care Party
The Health Care Party ( sv, Sjukvårdspartiet, SVP) is a political party in Sweden with a focus on healthcare issues. It regards itself as cross-political single-issue party. The main party is based in Norrbotten, with affiliated regional parties in the counties of Dalarna, Gävleborg, Värmland and Västernorrland. Health Care Parties hold 51 seats in Sweden's regional councils; 27 in Norrbotten, 7 in Västernorrland, 6 in Dalarna, 6 in Värmland, 5 in Gävleborg, They also control 34 council seats in the municipalities of Boden, Bollnäs, Gällivare, Kiruna, Luleå, Pajala, Piteå, Säffle, Älvsbyn and Övertorneå. The Health Care Party participated in elections to the Riksdag in 2006, 2010 and 2014 with limited success, gaining at most 11,519 votes in 2006 and just 11 votes in 2014. Single-issue Politics
Single-issue politics involves political campaigning or political support based on one essential policy area or idea. Political expression One weakness of such an approach is that effective political parties are usually coalitions of factions or advocacy groups. Bringing together political forces based on a single intellectual or cultural common denominator can be unrealistic; though there may be considerable public opinion on one side of an argument, it does not necessarily follow that mobilizing under that one banner will bring results. Gällivare
Gällivare (; fi, Jällivaara; se, Jiellevárri or ; smj, Jiellevárre or ; fit, Jellivaara) is a locality and the seat of Gällivare Municipality in Norrbotten County, province of Lapland, Sweden with 8,449 inhabitants in 2010. The town was founded in the 17th century. Together with nearby towns Malmberget and Koskullskulle it forms a conurbation with some 15,000 inhabitants. This conurbation is the second northernmost significant urban area of Sweden after Kiruna. Gällivare is situated at the northern end of the Inlandsbanan railway line, about 100 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Gällivare is located in a major iron ore mining region. Adjacent to Gällivare (about five kilometres) is Malmberget, known as a site for iron ore extraction from deep mines by LKAB. Gross National Product
The gross national income (GNI), previously known as gross national product (GNP), is the total domestic and foreign output claimed by residents of a country, consisting of gross domestic product (GDP), plus factor incomes earned by foreign residents, minus income earned in the domestic economy by nonresidents. Värmland
Värmland () also known as Wermeland, is a '' landskap'' (historical province) in west-central Sweden. It borders Västergötland, Dalsland, Dalarna, Västmanland, and Närke, and is bounded by Norway in the west. Latin name versions are ''Varmelandia'', ''Vermelandia'', ''Wermelandia'', ''Værmalandia'', ''Værmolandia'', ''Virmolandia'' and ''Vermillandia''. Övertorneå Municipality
Övertorneå Municipality (, ) is a municipality in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden, bordering Finland. Its seat is located in Övertorneå. Until the Finnish War (1808–1809) Övertorneå and the Finnish Ylitornio were a single parish. Following the war, the eastern part of the municipality was ceded to Russia as a part of Finland. In 1870 a minor part of Övertorneå Municipality was split off, forming the rural municipality Korpilombolo (now part of Pajala Municipality). In 1969 Övertorneå and Hietaniemi municipalities were merged, forming the present municipality. Älvsbyn Municipality
Älvsbyn Municipality () is a municipality in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is located in Älvsbyn. The present municipality has the same size as the original one, created at the time the municipalities of Sweden were formed in 1863. 1948-1968 a part of it constituted a market town (''köping'') and a municipality of its own, but the entities were reunited in 1969. Säffle Municipality
Säffle Municipality (''Säffle kommun'') is a municipality in Värmland County in west central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Säffle. Säffle was the last local government unit in Sweden to get the title of a city, in 1951. In 1952 the system with different types of municipalities was made obsolete, but it formally existed until 1971. The present municipality was created in that year, when the city was amalgamated with the surrounding rural municipalities.
