Blanchardstown () is a large outer suburb of Dublin in the modern Counties of Ireland, county of Fingal, Ireland. The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, following the country's victory at the with the song "Only Teardrops" by Emmelie de Forest. Ireland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Heartbeat," written by Jonas Gladnikoff, Rasmus Palmgren, Patrizia Helander and Hazel Kaneswaran. The song was performed by Can-linn featuring Kasey Smith. The Irish broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) organised the national final ''Eurosong 2014'' in order to select the Irish entry for the 2014 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. Five songs faced the votes of five regional juries and a public televote, ultimately resulting in the selection of "Heartbeat" performed by Can-linn featuring Kasey Smith as the Irish Eurovision entry. Ireland was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 8 May 2014. ''The Panel'' is a talk show produced by Happy Endings Productions for RTÉ, based on the Australian programme '' The Panel'', produced by Working Dog Productions for Network Ten. The 2005 Meteor Music Awards was hosted by comedian Ed Byrne at the Point Theatre on Thursday 24 February 2005. It was the fifth edition of Ireland's national music awards. ''You're a Star'' is an Irish music competition series broadcast by RTÉ One from 2002 to 2008. Produced by the broadcaster and Screentime ShinAwiL, the series was similar to formats such as ''Idol'' and ''The X Factor''.
