Haykakan Zhamanak
''Haykakan Zhamanak'' ( hy, Հայկական Ժամանակ, ''Armenian Times'') is a daily newspaper in Armenian published in Yerevan, Armenia, since 1999. It is a follow up of the daily newspaper ''Oragir'' (Օրագիր) established in 1998 and shut down by the Armenian government during its clamp-down on opposition. Armenian journalist Nikol Pashinyan was the long serving editor-in-chief of ''Haykakan Zhamanak'' from 1999 until 2008, when Pashinyan went underground and then was imprisoned for his political activism․ On December 23, 1999 Pashinyan was beaten by a "gang" of dozen men who were reportedly led by a local businessman who was angered by an article in ''Haykakan Zhamanak'' that accused him of corruption. Nikol Pashinyan
Nikol Vovayi Pashinyan ( hy, Նիկոլ Վովայի Փաշինյան, ; born 1 June 1975) is an Armenian politician serving as the prime minister of Armenia since 8 May 2018. A journalist by profession, Pashinyan founded his own newspaper in 1998, which was shut down a year later for libel. He was sentenced for one year for defamation against then Minister of National Security Serzh Sargsyan. He edited the newspaper ''Haykakan Zhamanak'' ("Armenian Times") from 1999 to 2012. A supporter of Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, he was highly critical of second president Robert Kocharyan, Defense Minister Serzh Sargsyan, and their allies, frequently referring to them as the "Karabakh Clan". Anna Vachiki Hakobyan ( hy, Աննա Վաչիկի Հակոբյան; born February 1, 1978), is the wife of the current Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Vovayi Pashinyan. She is the editor-in-chief of the ''Haykakan Zhamanak'' (''Armenian Times'') newspaper. Levon Hakobi Ter-Petrosyan ( hy, Լևոն Հակոբի Տեր-Պետրոսյան; born 9 January 1945), also known by his initials LTP, is an Armenian politician who served as the first president of Armenia from 1991 until his resignation in 1998. A senior researcher at the Matenadaran, he led the Karabakh movement for the unification of the Armenian-populated Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia which began in 1988. The Pan-Armenian National Movement or Armenian All-national Movement ( hy, Հայոց Համազգային Շարժում, translit=Hayots Hamazgain Sharzhum; HHS) was a political party in Armenia.
