The 1st constituency of the Hautes-Pyrénées (French language, French: ''Première circonscription des Hautes-Pyrénées'') is a French legislative Constituency (France), constituency in the Hautes-Pyrénées ''Departments of France, département''. Like the other 576 French constituencies, it elects one National Assembly of France, MP using a Two-round system, two round electoral system. Description The 1st constituency of Hautes-Pyrénées covers the east of the department including part of Tarbes, the rest being in Hautes-Pyrénées's 2nd constituency. The constituency was historically generally supportive of Socialist Party (France), Socialist Party candidates with the exceptions of 1993 French legislative election, 1993 until 2017. In 2017 the incumbent PS candidate came third in the first round of voting behind both En Marche! and the left-wing La France Insoumise. Union For French Democracy
The Union for French Democracy ( ; UDF) was a centre-right political party in France. The UDF was founded in 1978 as an electoral alliance to support President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in order to counterbalance the Gaullist preponderance over the French centre-right. The UDF took its name from Giscard's 1976 book, ''Démocratie française''. The founding parties of the UDF were Giscard's Republican Party (PR), the Centre of Social Democrats (CDS), the Radical Party (Rad), the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Perspectives and Realities Clubs (CPR). Together (coalition)
Ensemble (, stylised in all caps), known in full as Ensemble pour la République (''Together for the Republic''), is a liberal political coalition in France created by Emmanuel Macron. Formed in November 2021 as Ensemble Citoyens, it makes up the presidential majority and includes Renaissance (RE, formerly known as En Marche and La République En Marche!), Democratic Movement (MoDem), Horizons, En commun, and the Progressive Federation. Jean-Bernard Sempastous (born 5 August 1964) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who was deputy for Hautes-Pyrénées's 1st constituency in the French National Assembly from 2017 to 2022. In parliament, Sempastous served as member of the Committee on Economic Affairs.
