''Haus Party, Pt. 2'' is the third extended play by American singer-songwriter, actor, and YouTube personality Todrick Hall. It is the second of the ''Haus Party'' trilogy. While it was originally announced to be released in July 2019, the release was delayed to September 19, 2019. The EP features six new songs, as well as three remixes. Promotion On August 19, 2019, an official remix " Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels" featuring American singer Ciara was released on August 19, 2019. Following the EP's release, music videos were released for "Wig", "Fag", and "Dripeesha" on September 20, September 25, and October 9, 2019, respectively. "Wig" entered the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart at number 49. To promote the EPs, Hall embarked on the Haus Party Tour in October and November 2019. Todrick Hall
Todrick Hall (born April 4, 1985) is an American singer, choreographer, and YouTuber. He gained national attention on the ninth season of the televised singing competition ''American Idol''. Following this, he amassed a huge following on YouTube with viral videos including original songs, parodies, and skits. A documentary series about his video-making process titled '' Todrick'' aired on MTV in 2015. Starting with season eight, Hall became a resident choreographer and occasional judge on ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. From 2016 to 2017, Hall starred as Lola in '' Kinky Boots'' on Broadway. ''Quarantine Queen'' is the fourth extended play by American singer-songwriter, actor, and YouTuber Todrick Hall. Inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, the album was written, recorded, and produced by Hall in the week leading up to its release on April 29, 2020. A music video was released for "Mask, Gloves, Soap, Scrubs" the same day. Composition The EP features six songs about life in the age of COVID-19. The first track is "Mas(k)ot", a spoof on "Bootylicious" by Destiny's Child that calls out all the events that have been cancelled because of the virus. It features a cheerleading theme and features Jerry Harris from the Netflix series ''Cheer''. "Tiktok" is about the app of the same name. "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels" is a song by Todrick Hall, released in 2019 from his EP, '' Haus Party, Pt. 1''. Composition ''Gay Star News'' Anya Crittenton described "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels" as a "rhythmic bop" song. The song ends with a series of requested actions, asking listeners to drop, tongue pop, twirl, say "girl", and "shablam". The news website's David Hudson described the song as a "gay anthem". Hall has said the song is his favorite on the EP. Music video The song's music video features a group of men performing choreographed dancing in high heels and gloves in teams of different colors (pink, purple, orange, blue, and teal). Among the dancers is Chester Lockhart. The video was filmed in an empty warehouse and features an illuminated pink triangle in the background.
