Hau Shui-pui
Hau Shui-pui, SBS (; born 21 June 1924) is a pro-Beijing politician in Hong Kong. He is the president of the Kwun Tong Residents Association and the Federation of Public Housing Estates. He was also the chairman of the Kwun Tong District Council from 1997 to 2003. Hau was a long-time kaifong leader who was active in Ngau Tau Kok. He was the president of the Ngau Tau Kok Kaifong Welfare Association and the Kwun Tong Residents Association, a pro-Beijing community association. He also co-founded the Federation of Public Housing Estates in 1985. He was first elected to the Kwun Tong District Board in 1985 in Ngau Tau Kok East constituency. He defeated Law Chun-ngai of the United Democrats of Hong Kong (UDHK) in the 1991 District Board elections, but failed to get elected in the first direct election to the Legislative Council in 1991, losing to the pro-democracy candidates Szeto Wah of the United Democrats and Fred Li of the Meeting Point. The Silver Bauhinia Star (, SBS) is the second Bauhinia Star rank in the honours system of Hong Kong, awarded to people who have taken a leading part in public affairs or voluntary work over a long period. Bunny Chan
Bunny Chan Chung-bun (; born 1957) is a Hong Kong businessman and politician. He is the former chairman of the Kwun Tong District Council, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress of China and the chairman of the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association. History Bunny Chan was born in Hong Kong in 1957 with his family originated from Chaozhou. After graduating from secondary school in 1976, he worked at To Kwa Wan’s Kai Ngai Embroidery Factory as a clerk and a sewing trainee and learnt procedures such as blinding and button holing form working at his friends' and foreman's workshops. In 1979, he opened a factory with a capital of 2000 dollars and rented a site in Mei King Mansion for manufacturing travel bags and other gifts, a predecessor of Prospectful Garment Factory. Provisional Legislative Council
The Provisional Legislative Council (PLC) was the interim legislature of Hong Kong that operated from 1997 to 1998. The legislature was founded in Guangzhou and sat in Shenzhen from 1996 (with offices in Hong Kong) until the handover in 1997 and moved to Hong Kong to serve as the temporary replacement of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
