Adila Hassim
Adila Hassim (born 1972) is a South African advocate. She rose to international prominence as a member of the legal team in the South Africa vs. Israel case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in January 2024. Early life and education Hassim was born in 1972. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Natal. She was awarded the Franklin Thomas Fellowship to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) at the Saint Louis University School of Law of Saint Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1999, and the Rev Lewers–Bradlow Foundation Fellowship to become a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) at Notre Dame Law School of Notre Dame, Indiana, which she completed in 2006. Moses Magogo Hassim (born November 8, 1976) is a Ugandan sports administrator and politician. He is the current president of the Federation of Uganda FootbalAssociations (FUFA) and Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Ex member. Rineke Antoinette Hassim (born 29 April 1945), best known by her stage name Rina Hasyim (also Hassim), is an Indonesian actress and model who has won both a Citra Award for Best Leading Actress and Citra Award for Best Supporting Actress. Shireen Hassim
Shireen Hassim is an South African political scientist, historian, and scholar of gender studies and African studies. She is a Professor in the Department of Political Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she is also affiliated with the Institute for Social and Economic Research. In 2019 she became a Canada Research Chair, Canada 150 Research Chair in Gender and African Politics, beginning a seven-year term in the Institute for African Studies at Carleton University.
