Hassan Basajjabalaba
Hassan Basajjabalaba (born 4 June 1967) is a Ugandan businessman, investor and philanthropist. He is best known as the founder, chairman, and CEO of the HABA Group of Companies, A large conglomerate in East Africa with an estimated value of $520M Early life Hassan was born into a wealthy Banyankole Muslim family on 4 June 1967. His father, the late Idd Basajjabalaba, was the son of a businessman involved in the export of hides and skins, farming, cattle keeping, and education. According to the New Vision newspaper His father was also one of the largest landowners in Bushenyi District, located in the western part of the country. Kampala International University (KIU) is a private, not-for-profit institution based in Uganda. It was established in 2001 and assumed chartered status in 2009.
