Joseph Geno Owino is a Ugandan entrepreneur with business interests in IT, social media and sports. He is the founder and CEO of Owino Solutions and also the Founder of East African online sports platform, Kawowo Sports. Business career Owino runs a web development firm called Owino Solutions Ltd that he started while a student at Makerere University. His company has clients such as Uganda's national referral hospital, Mulago Hospital, telecom company Airtel Uganda and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA). Owino also founded Uganda's most popular online local sports platform called Kawowo Sports that publishes local and regional content. George Owino
George Owino Audi (born 24 April 1981 in Nairobi) is a Kenyan footballer who is currently playing for Sofapaka in the Kenyan Premier League. Career Owino had been playing for Simba SC in Tanzania since 2007. Before moving to Tanzania, he played for Tusker FC. In July 2008 he joined Saint-George SA. In July 2009 he was invited to train with Fortuna Düsseldorf on advice from Antoine Hey, his dream is to play in Europe. On 28 July 2009 he signed for Fortuna Düsseldorf. Daniel Owino Misiani (22 February 1940 – 17 May 2006) was a Tanzanian-born musician based in Kenya, where he led the Shirati Jazz collective. He was known as the "King of History" in Kenya; overseas and in Tanzania, he was known as "the grandfather of benga", which he pioneered. Early life and career Misiani was born in Nyamagongo, a quiet village just north of Shirati in Mara Region, Tanzania, close to the eastern shore of Lake Victoria and the border with Kenya. His parents were singers, but opposed his choice of a musical career on religious grounds. Nevertheless, he moved to Kenya in the 1960s to be a musician. He first recorded with the Victoria Boys in 1965. The band changed its name many times before becoming popular as Shirati Jazz band. He sang mostly in Dholuo and Swahili languages.
