is a Japanese keyboardist and actor. He plays keyboard for Tokio, a Johnny & Associates musical group. Early life Taichi Kokubun was born in Higashikurume, Tokyo. Career As an artist Before debuting with Tokio, Kokubun, like other Tokio members, was a backup-dancer for Johnny's Entertainment boy bands, including Hikaru Genji. In 1990 he became the keyboardist of Tokio, but it was not until 1994 that the band debuted. In 2004, Kokubun took a break from Tokio to form a temporary group with KinKi Kids member Tsuyoshi Domoto. is a Japanese musician and actor. He is the leader and main guitarist of Tokio, a Johnny & Associates musical group. Career As an artist Prior to debuting with Tokio, Joshima was a backup-dancer for various Johnny's Entertainment boy bands at the time. He also formed temporary music units during that time, such as the Joshima Band with other to-be Tokio members. In 1990 he became the leader and guitarist of Tokio, but it wasn't until 1994 that the band debuted. As an actor Joshima has had parts in various dramas since 1989. Tomoya Nagase
is a Japanese singer-songwriter, actor, and model. He was a member of Tokio, a Johnny & Associates musical group. He was the primary vocalist, in addition to playing the guitar alongside Tokio's leader, Shigeru Joshima. Career As an artist He was inspired by bands Hikaru Genji and SMAP to answer a recruiting call of Johnny & Associates and was accepted. In 1992, he played several stage plays (''Playzone'' and ''Mask'') together with other Tokio members. He first played tambourine during Tokio's early performances as SMAP's background dancers. Just prior to Tokio's debut, the band's rhythm guitarist, Hiromu Kojima, left the band and was replaced by Tomoya Nagase. Tokio is a Japanese rock/ pop band formed by Johnny & Associates that debuted in 1994. It is made up of three men who were signed with Sony Music Entertainment from 1994 to 2001, with Universal Music Japan from 2001 to 2008, and are now signed under J Storm, a label owned by Johnny & Associates. In addition to their activities as a band, the members of Tokio also act in dozens of dramas and host variety programmes, both as a group and individually.
