Harry Van Raaij
Hendrikus Jacobus Maria "Harry" van Raaij (29 August 1936 – 16 November 2020) was a Dutch functionary, who served as the chairman of PSV Eindhoven, a Dutch sports club, between 1996 and 2004. Biography Van Raaij was born in Haps on 29 August 1936. He was a proponent of the Atlantic League, which would have been a competition for larger clubs in smaller European countries. Professionally, he was a manager at Philips Koninklijke Philips N.V. (), commonly shortened to Philips, is a Dutch multinational conglomerate corporation that was founded in Eindhoven in 1891. Sint Anthonis
Sint Anthonis () is a village and former municipality in the southern Netherlands in the Province of North Brabant. The locals refer to the town as ''Sint Tunnis''. An inhabitant is called a "Sintunnisenaar". The former municipality had a population of in . Sint Anthonis, Boxmeer, Cuijk, Grave, and Mill en Sint Hubert merged into the new municipality of Land van Cuijk on 1 January 2022. History The town was mentioned in a last will as early as 1312. The town was called ''Oelbroec'' at the time. As the church of St. Anthony The Abbot was completed in 1477, people started referring to the town as the "Parish of St. Anthony in Oelbroec", and by 1570 the name Oelbroec had disappeared. Haps
Haps is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the former municipality of Cuijk, about south of the town of Cuijk. Since 2022 it has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk. History The village was first mentioned in 1201 as Hops. The etymology is unknown. Haps is a village in brook valley and was first mentioned in 1301. It used to be a ''heerlijkheid'' belonging to Boxmeer. The Catholic St Nicolas Church was built in 1899 in Gothic Revival style. Above the middle entrance is a relief from the medieval church which was demolished in 1814. The grist mill Mariamolen was built in 1802. It was moved to its current location in 1859 and enlarged. In 1969, it was sold to the municipality and restored in 1972. It is occasionally in service. Haps was home to 680 people in 1840. The Atlantic League is a proposed international association football competition to be played in a number of European countries. The aim of the Atlantic League to allow clubs who have been successful in their national competitions to participate in a more competitive league that would be more attractive to fans and television viewers, resulting in higher revenues and the ability to attract more talented players.
