Harry Griffiths (footballer, Born 1912)
Harry Stanley Griffiths (17 November 1912 – 11 June 1981) was an English footballer and baseball international. He played in defence for Everton between 1930 and 1935. Still, after failing to get a game, he moved on to Port Vale between 1935 and 1947, playing 190 games in all wartime and peacetime competitions. Outside the game, he was a Police officer and later became a parkkeeper. Career Griffiths began his career at Everton in 1930, as the "Toffees" won promotion to the First Division as Second Division champions in 1930–31. They then topped the Football League in 1931–32, finishing two points ahead of Arsenal. Dropping to eleventh in 1932–33, Everton won the FA Cup, though Griffiths played no part in the final. They dropped to fourteenth in 1933–34, rising to eight in 1934–35. Harry Griffiths (footballer, Born 1931)
James Henry Griffiths (4 January 1931 – 25 April 1978) was a Welsh professional footballer and football manager. In his time at Swansea he filled multiple roles, as player, physio, coach, trainer, assistant manager and manager. As a player, he made 421 appearances for Swansea Town scored 72 goals, and was also capped by Wales. He left to join Merthyr Tydfil in 1964, but returned to Swansea as a coach in 1967, and between 1975 and 1978 was Swansea's manager. Despite promising performances at the start of the 1977–78 season, Griffiths resigned as manager, doubting his ability to take the club any further. Harry Albert Craven Griffiths (sometimes Craven-Griffiths; 30 September 1866 – 23 March 1935) was an Australian politician who served as a Country Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1914 to 1921 and from 1924 until his death. Biography Griffiths was born in Manchester, England, to Eleanor Alice (née Cooke) and Henry Craven Griffiths. He came to Western Australia in 1897, during the gold rush, and lived in Kalgoorlie until 1907, when he moved to a property at Kellerberrin. Harry Griffiths (missionary)
Harry Griffiths (1895 – 1987) was a Reverend who worked for the Methodist Inland Mission in Alice Springs; Northern Territory and is best remembered for establishing Griffiths House as well as designing and opening the ANZAC Hill memorial. Early life English born Griffiths married his wife, Dorothy, after he was 'invalided out' of the British Army for injuries received as a medical orderly; serving in France during World War I. Griffiths was advised to move to a warmer climate and, not qualifying for assistance, he and Dorothy saved for the fares and initially settled in Melbourne. When in Melbourne Griffiths became a home missionary and started the process to become ordained: during this process he was appointed to Katherine, Northern Territory.
