Harry Angel
Harry Angel (foaled 8 February 2014) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He showed very good form as a two-year-old, winning the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes on his second racecourse appearance. In the following year he emerged as one of the best sprinters in Europe with wins in the Sandy Lane Stakes, July Cup and Haydock Sprint Cup. In 2018 he won the Duke of York Stakes but was injured when he trapped a leg in the starting gate at Royal Ascot. Background Harry Angel is a bay horse bred in Ireland by CBS Bloodstock. As a yearling he was consigned to the Goffs sale in August 2015 and was bought for £44,000 by Clive Cox Racing Limited. He entered the ownership of Peter Ridgers and was taken into training by Cox at Lambourn, Berkshire. He has been ridden in all of his races by Adam Kirby. Newbury Racecourse is a racecourse and events venue in the civil parish of Greenham, adjoining the town of Newbury in Berkshire, England. It has courses for flat races and over jumps. Lord Avie (April 25, 1978 – December 28, 2012) was an American thoroughbred champion racehorse. Background A descendant of the great Nearco through his sire Lord Gaylord, his dam, Avie, was a daughter of U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Gallant Man. In March 1980, Lord Avie was bought as a two-year-old at a Hialeah Park Race Track sale for $37,000 by a consortium of twelve investors from New Jersey who raced him under the name SKS Stable. He was trained by former jockey Daniel Perlsweig. Racing career Lord Avie won top races at age two, including the Young America Stakes, Cowdin Stakes and Champagne Stakes. Persuasive (foaled 16 March 2013) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. After winning her only race as a juvenile she ran up four consecutive wins in the following season including the Sandringham Handicap and the Atalanta Stakes before her winning streak was ended by Alice Springs in the Matron Stakes. Mecca's Angel (foaled 11 February 2011) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. She was a specialist sprinter who excelled over the minimum distance of five furlongs. Middle Park Stakes
The Middle Park Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to two-year-old colts. It is run on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in September. History The event was founded by William Blenkiron, and it is named after his stud at Eltham. It was established in 1866, and was initially titled the Middle Park Plate. Adam Kirby
Adam Kirby (born August 1988) is a Group 1-winning British jockey. He was brought up in Kirtling near Newmarket, on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border, where he still lives, and started riding out for James Fanshawe aged 12. He served his apprenticeship with Michael Wigham in Newmarket and won with his first professional ride on Broughton Knows at Lingfield on 1 October 2004. In his early career, he became first jockey to Walter Swinburn until Swinburn quit training. For Swinburn, he won the prestigious handicap, the John Smith's Cup, at York in 2006.
