Harrison Jones (footballer)
Harrison Jones (born 25 February 2001) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the with pick 30 in the 2019 AFL draft. Early football Jones played junior football with the Gisborne Rookies in the Riddell District Football League. He attended Salesian College (Rupertswood) before moving to Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School, where he played football for the school. His school football coach likened him to great Nick Riewoldt due to his 'enormous work-rate'. Jones played for the Calder Cannons in the NAB League, where he played predominantly as a ruck. Over his two seasons with the Cannons, he played 15 games, averaged 9.3 hitouts and 12.8 disposals. Calder Cannons
The Calder Cannons is an Australian rules football club from Melbourne, Australia. The club competes in the NAB League, the Victorian Statewide Under-18s competition, and fields squads in the Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-18s. The club was formed in 1995 after the need for two more metropolitan clubs. The geographic catchment area for the club is the north western suburbs of Melbourne extending to cover the Macedon Ranges area. The 2021 AFL season was the 125th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 18 March until 25 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia.
