Harald Løvenskiold (1926–1994)
Harald Løvenskiold (9 February 1926 – 28 January 1994) was a Norwegian landowner and businessperson. Personal life He was born in Aker as a son of landowner Carl Otto Løvenskiold, member of Løvenskiold family and Henny Størmer. Harald was a maternal grandson of Carl Størmer paternal grandson of Harald Løvenskiold, great-grandson of Prime Minister Carl Otto Løvenskiold, great-great-grandson of Otto Joachim Løvenskiold and great-great-great-grandson of Severin Løvenskiold. He married Ingegjerd Ebba Dagmar Andvord, a daughter of ambassador Rolf Andvord. They had the son Carl Otto Løvenskiold. Career Harald Løvenskiold finished his secondary education in 1944, and subsequently graduated from Brown University in 1949, however prior to his graduation from college, he took commerce school and forestry school. Aker, Norway
Aker was a former independent municipality in Akershus, Norway, that constitutes the vast majority of the territory of the modern city of Oslo. The name originally belonged to a farm which was located near the current Old Aker Church. The church in turn became the source of the name of the parish and later municipality as well as Akershus Fortress, the main fief and main county of Akershus which included most of Eastern Norway until 1919, the smaller county of Akershus, and numerous institutions within this area. Aker municipality was in terms of population by far the largest municipality of Akershus county and surrounded the capital city of Christiania (renamed Oslo in 1925) until 1948; Aker was 27 times larger than the capital it surrounded. It sold 211,769 copies in 2015 (172,029 printed copies according to University of Bergen) and estimated 1.2 million readers. It converted from broadsheet to compact format in March 2005. SK Fram (Oslo)
Skiklubben Fram was a Norwegian skiing club, based in Oslo but with its sporting facilities in Vestre Aker—and from 1902 to 1923 in Oppland. Fram was founded in 1889, and after a down period around 1900 it was refurbished as an exclusive gentlemen's social club in a skiing setting. Early years, 1889–c.1900 The club was founded on 24 November 1889 at Framnæs near Skillebekk, whence the Fearnley family had moved here the same year.
