Happy Ever After (1932 Film)
''Happy Ever After'' is a 1932 British-German musical film directed by Paul Martin and Robert Stevenson, and starring Lilian Harvey, Jack Hulbert, Cicely Courtneidge, Sonnie Hale, and Edward Chapman. It was made as a co-production between the London-based Gainsborough Pictures and Germany's UFA. It was one of a series of co-productions between Gainsborough and German firms during the era, but it failed to meet the requirements to qualify as a British quota film. A German-language version ''A Blonde Dream'' and a French-language version (''Un rêve blond'') were filmed at the same time. The film was shot in Berlin at the Babelsberg Studios using principally British actors. The film's sets were designed by the art director Erich Kettelhut. ''Happy Ever After'' is rock band The Dogs D'Amour's seventh studio album, it was released in the year 2000 following the band's reformation. Prior to this, the Dogs had not released an album in seven years; it saw Tyla, Bam and Jo Dog reuniting. Also brought in on bass was Bam's wife, Share Ross, formerly Share Pedersen. The album featured a cover of a cover in the form of "Quick Joey Small". The Dogs D'Amour's version is a cover of the one English punk band Slaughter & The Dogs did in 1972. This is a discography of the singles and albums of British pop group Brotherhood of Man. All singles and albums from 1974 are from a completely different line-up to the earlier releases. The earlier releases (on the Deram label) were credited to ''The'' Brotherhood of Man. The group's first appearance on the chart was on 14 February 1970 in the UK with the single " United We Stand". This went on to become a hit in many other countries, including the US. The first chart appearance of the later line-up is with the 1974 single "Lady" in Belgium and Holland. The first appearance by this line-up in the UK is with the single "Save Your Kisses For Me" on 13 March 1976. The song's entry at No.14 was the second highest Top 50 chart entry of that year (second to Queen's " Somebody to Love", which rose from 51 to 4 in a single week), due to its selection as the UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1976. ''High Civilization'' is the nineteenth studio album by British pop group the Bee Gees, released on 25 March 1991 in the U.K., and 14 May 1991 in the U.S. It was their last album recorded for Warner Bros. Records, after a four-year contract (they would return to WB through subsidiary Reprise Records in 2006: after gaining the rights to their previously released material, they reissued each album through Reprise). Possibly in reaction to firm resistance from U.S. radio to the previous two albums, '' E.S.P.'' (1987) and '' One'' (1989), which had done well in other countries, the U.S.-based Warner Bros gave this one less promotion and did not issue remixes. "Happy Ever After" is a song recorded by Australian singer and songwriter Ricki-Lee Coulter. It was written by Coulter, David Schuler and Hal Linton. The song was originally included on the digital extended play (EP) of Coulter's previous single " All We Need Is Love". ''Happy Ever After'' is a song by English singer-songwriter Julia Fordham, included on her self-titled debut album. Released as a single in 1988, it reached #27 in the UK Singles Chart and number 1 in the Japan Singles Chart. "Happy Ever After" was inspired by Nelson Mandela's struggle through apartheid in South Africa and his imprisonment. Gangway (band)
Gangway is a Danish band, originally active from 1982 to 1998 and again since 2017. Gangway consisted of Allan Jensen (lead singer), Henrik Balling (guitar), Torben Johansen (of Escape Artists, keyboards), and four different drummers, Jan Christensen (1982–84), Gorm Ravn-Jonsen (1984–89), Cai Bojsen-Møller (1991–94), and Jeppe Moesgaard (1996–98). Original career Their first three albums had a Beatles (and sometimes Smiths-esque) guitar pop sound, with a distinct new wave twist, but later on, particularly on ''The Quiet Boy Ate the Whole Cake'', their influences were more on synthpop, such as that of the Pet Shop Boys. Paul Dolan (born 10 May 1968, in London) is Professor of Behavioural Science in the Department in Psychological and Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is Director of the Executive MSc in Behavioural Science which began in September 2014. Dolan conducts research on the measurement of happiness, its causes and consequences, and the implications for public policy, publishing in both scholarly and popular outlets. He has previously held academic posts at York, Newcastle, Sheffield and Imperial College London and he has been a visiting scholar at Princeton University.
