Happily Ever After (2007 TV Series)
Happily Ever After (Chinese: 凡间新仙人) is a 20-episode Singaporean Chinese drama which is telecast on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It made its debut on 6 February 2007 and ended on 5 March 2007. This show is unique as it starts off seeming like a period drama but later evolves into a modern setting. There are many references to figures and stories from Chinese mythology and folk tales such as Cowherd and Weaver Girl, Journey to the West and the Eight Immortals. The first episode drew some controversy as it had a scene in which Wu Gang (Zhang Yaodong) and Erlang (Yao Wenlong) faced off in the nude with their private parts blurred on screen. Elvin Ng
Elvin Ng Choon Siong (; born 23 December 1980) is a Singaporean actor and former model. Early life Ng attended Jurong Primary School, Catholic High School and National Junior College. He graduated with an honours degree in English literature from the National University of Singapore. Career Ng was discovered through a talent search programme ''School Belle and the Beau'' hosted by MediaCorp DJ and Host, Dennis Chew and Belinda Lee, during his university days. They were filming the variety show at National University of Singapore where Ng studies at and his performance and looks caught the attention of the producers at MediaCorp. Ng was then given a supporting role in the 2005 series ''A Life of Hope'' where he acted alongside Joanne Peh, and after the airing of the series, MediaCorp offered Ng a contract with them. Jimmy Nah
Jimmy Nah(; (13 April 1967 – 4 January 2008), better known by his nickname "MC King", was a Singaporean comedian and actor. He died of heart and lung failure at the age of 40. Early life and career Nah entered the entertainment industry in 1990 after completing the SBC drama training course. He made his debut in a drama series titled ''Friends Next Door''. He played a character who was perennially on leave, thus earning him his nickname. Nah also hosted ''Comedy Nite'' along with Jack Neo, Moses Lim and Mark Lee, and acted in a couple of local movies, including Jack Neo's ''I Not Stupid'', ''Homerun'' and ''I Not Stupid Too'', as well as a number of local drama serials. Huang Wenyong
Huang Wenyong (25 July 1952 – 20 April 2013) was a Malaysia-born Singaporean actor and former teacher of Chinese descent. Local media and colleagues referred to him as "Ah Ge" (senior actor) due to his status. Huang died at the Singapore General Hospital at around 5 pm (GMT+8) on 20 April 2013, at the age of 60 due to lymphoma. Bryan Wong Lok Kiang (, born on 30 January 1971) is a Singaporean television host and actor. Zhu Bajie
Zhu Bajie (), also named Zhu Wuneng, is one of the three helpers of Tang Sanzang and a major character of the 16th century novel ''Journey to the West''. Zhu means " swine" and Bajie means " eight precepts". Buddhist scholars consider that both expressions are related to "Śīla pāramitā". In many English versions of the story, Zhu Bajie is called "Monk Pig", "Pig", "Piggy", or "Pigsy". Zhu Bajie is a complex and developed character in the novel.
